Insure Recruitment is partnering with a leading commercial insurance underwriting business to appoint a Commercial Lines Product Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a growing portfolio of commercial products - including Contractors, Commercial Combined, Construction, Terrorism, and Life Sciences – which protect businesses against the financial risks to their property, people, legal liabilities, income, and operations.
As Commercial Lines Product Manager, you will lead the development pipeline, driving continuous improvement and ensuring products are innovated in line with customer needs and business objectives.
Partnering closely with teammates across the division, you will help turn strategic ideas into high-quality, desirable solutions.
You will lead the annual review process for your products, ensuring they consistently deliver fair value and remain competitive in the market.
Throughout the year, you will track and analyse performance, providing insight and regular updates to the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the propositions delivered are best in class for customers and user experience.
- Support the product team to help set and deliver the business product strategy.
- Identify opportunities by carrying out ongoing market and competitor research.
- Undertake annual product reviews in line with group governance and regulatory guidelines to ensure products deliver fair value to customers.
- Analyse and communicate the performance of all products allocated to you.
- Support the business with product training and development.
- Provide regular updates on your progress and the performance of your products.
- Identify improvements in internal processes and work with teammates to assess and implement best practice – contributing to the success and continuous development of the team.
- Perform other duties from time to time as determined by the board and senior management.
- WHAT YOU'LL BRING
We'd love to hear from candidates who can demonstrate the following.
- Experience in product management, underwriting, or a technical role within commercial lines insurance.
- Sound knowledge of commercial products such as Contractors, Commercial Combined, Construction, Terrorism, or Life Sciences (or comparable classes).
- A strong understanding of product governance, fair value assessments, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret product performance data and translate insight into action.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach and a genuine drive for continuous improvement.
