The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Senior Finance Business Partner will support a range of strategic growth, investment and business performance initiatives across a large, multi-site operation.
Working cross-functionally with various stakeholders, the role will provide financial analysis, investment appraisal and decision support to help drive sustainable growth and maximise returns.
The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating new opportunities, supporting investment decisions, monitoring performance and delivering insights that influence strategic priorities across the business.
Main Duties
- Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic growth and investment initiatives.
- Build financial models and business cases to evaluate commercial opportunities.
- Provide robust analysis and challenge around investment decisions and resource allocation.
- Support the assessment of new site opportunities, expansion projects and business improvement initiatives.
- Deliver insight and recommendations through detailed financial and operational performance analysis.
- Monitor returns on investment and support the ongoing evaluation of strategic projects.
- Work alongside commercial, operational and property teams to identify opportunities for growth and profitability improvement.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities.
- Prepare presentations and analysis for senior leadership and investors.
- Develop reporting and insight that supports effective decision-making across the organisation.
- Contribute to wider corporate projects including growth strategy, acquisitions, investments and transformation initiatives.
- The Successful Candidate
- Background within a Transaction Services team at a Big Four or leading advisory firm is highly desirable, with industry experience in an FP&A or commercial finance role.
- Alternatively, candidates from a Big Four Audit background who have subsequently gained industry exposure to acquisitions, investments, business transactions or strategic projects within industry will also be considered.
- Experience building financial models, evaluating investments and supporting commercial decision-making.
- Strong understanding of business valuation methodologies and investment appraisal techniques.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across both finance and operational teams.
- Commercially minded, inquisitive and comfortable challenging assumptions.
- Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
