We are recruiting for a Claims Operations Manager, (15 Months Fixed Term Contact - Maternity Cover) on behalf of a well-established and market-leading insurer.

NB Candidates must be available at short notice or maximum 1 month notice.

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for managing claims operations, third-party service providers and performance oversight of the claims department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the claims operations function to deliver a leading claims service.
  • Managing the workload and tasks assigned to Claims Operations Assistant.
  • Working with members of the IT department to identify and implement IT solutions.
  • Monitoring claims performance trends, issues and movements, as well as relevant legal/regulatory changes and Market developments.
  • Responsible for claims data management, reporting and delivery to the claims department.
  • Preparing and submitting regulatory reporting where required.
  • Vendor oversight meetings.
  • Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in dealing with Lloyd's and London Market systems (e. g. ECF, writeback, DOCOsoft, Lloyd's Claims Reporting Suite, Gemini).
  • Strong external network and able to utilise those contacts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and confident when presenting in different environments.
  • Ability to effectively motivate and manage a team whilst identifying, developing and retaining talent.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse and leverage data in order to provide meaningful insight.
  • Confident when dealing with ambiguity, knowing when to shift focus and priorities to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Part Dip CII / ACII qualified or working towards Dip CII / ACII is desirable.
