Chief Financial Officer / Principal's Financial Adviser - Mayfair

A highly accomplished Chief Financial Officer is sought to support an Ultra High Net Worth Principal with a diverse portfolio of personal, corporate and investment interests in the UK and internationally.

This appointment is intended to establish a single trusted financial adviser capable of providing strategic direction, technical expertise and informed commercial judgement across all aspects of the Principal's financial affairs.

The successful candidate will combine first-class financial leadership with a practical, hands-on approach, bringing clarity, continuity and confidence to complex financial matters.

Whilst supported by specialist advisers where appropriate, the successful candidate will be expected to possess the depth of knowledge and experience to lead financial decision-making independently and to seek external legal or jurisdiction-specific advice only where additional expertise is required.

The role is UK based with occasional international travel as business needs dictate.

  • Act as the Principal's principal financial adviser and trusted confidant.
  • Provide strategic oversight of personal, corporate and investment interests.
  • Develop long-term financial strategies aligned with the Principal's objectives.
  • Deliver concise, commercially focused advice to support decision-making.
  • Financial Management
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury and cash flow across multiple entities.
  • Maintain robust financial controls and governance.
  • Monitor banking relationships, liquidity and financial risk.
  • Review financial performance and identify opportunities for efficiency and value creation.
  • Taxation, Structures & Compliance

Provide expert guidance on UK taxation together with a strong understanding of international tax legislation and cross-border structures.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting, taxation and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and advise on companies, holding structures and investment vehicles to ensure they remain commercially appropriate, tax efficient and compliant.
  • Identify legitimate tax planning opportunities and advise on legislative changes.
  • Obtain specialist legal or jurisdiction-specific advice where necessary and evaluate recommendations before implementation.
  • Oversee statutory reporting and regulatory filings.
  • Commercial Projects

Provide financial leadership on acquisitions, disposals, refinancing and investment opportunities.

  • Undertake financial due diligence and financial modelling where required.
  • Assess commercial risk and support strategic planning.

Experience

ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director or equivalent senior finance executive.
  • Experience supporting UHNW individuals, family offices or complex privately owned businesses.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK accounting standards, taxation and international financial structures.
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
