We're looking for an experienced Casualty Loss Adjuster to join a well-established adjusting practice with a strong reputation across the UK and international insurance market.

This role offers the opportunity to handle a varied portfolio of liability claims, including employers' liability, public liability and product liability matters, working with insurers, brokers, solicitors and policyholders throughout the claims process.

The role

You'll be responsible for investigating, managing and resolving casualty claims from first instruction through to settlement, ensuring claims are handled efficiently, fairly and in line with policy and legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of casualty claims, including EL, PL and product liability
  • Investigating the circumstances of claims and assessing liability
  • Interviewing claimants, witnesses and other relevant parties
  • Liaising with insurers, brokers, solicitors and policyholders
  • Preparing detailed reports and recommendations
  • Negotiating settlements where appropriate
  • Supporting colleagues on larger or more complex losses when required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience handling casualty or liability claims
  • A background in loss adjusting, insurance claims or a related liability environment
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • The ability to manage your own workload and build effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Cert CILA / Dip CILA or other relevant insurance qualifications would be advantageous
