My client, a highly regarded law firm, are seeking to recruit a diligent, highly motivated, and fast-learning Business Immigration Paralegal / Assistant with Chinese language skills to join their busy Immigration Department. The successful candidate will work directly alongside a Partner, providing support across a broad range of business immigration matters.

Applicants should have a minimum one-year experience in a similar role and be capable of quickly adapting to a varied caseload. They will possess technical knowledge appropriate to their level of experience, a proactive approach to risk management, a strong willingness to learn, and a good understanding of UK immigration law and procedure.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent client service and provide examples of occasions where they have gone above and beyond to achieve positive outcomes for clients. They are looking for an individual who can provide effective support to the Partner and contribute positively to the team's efficiency. The ability to work independently while adhering to the firm's procedures, regulatory obligations, and SRA requirements is therefore essential. The successful candidate must be organised, reliable, and capable of managing their workload effectively under appropriate supervision.

If candidates have experience in other areas of law such as Residential / Commercial Property or Litigation that would be a distinct advantage although not essential.

Essential requirements for this role are as follows:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience working as a Business Immigration Paralegal or in a similar role
  • A good knowledge of the UK Immigration rules
  • Essential experience in the UK business immigration
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Attention to detail is essential
