We are currently recruiting for a Building Services Engineer Support position within a large UK-wide residential estate.
This is a national mobile role, providing technical support across a diverse portfolio of properties.
The successful candidate will support the Building Services Manager with planned and reactive maintenance, technical investigations, building projects, compliance, asset management and lifecycle works.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support across planned, reactive and emergency building works.
- Support project works, including design reviews, specifications, testing and snagging.
- Investigate technical issues and identify appropriate solutions.
- Produce professional reports covering building services, compliance and technical issues.
- Carry out desktop and physical site asset surveys.
- Provide technical advice across mechanical, electrical, building fabric and control systems.
- Assist with project scopes, specifications, tenders and requests for quotation.
- Support cost estimates, lifecycle replacement programmes and CAPEX projects.
- Manage specialist subcontractors where required, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
About You
- Relevant technical or Building Services qualification, ideally degree level or equivalent.
- Previous experience working as a Building Services Engineer, preferably across a large or multi-site estate.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety, environmental legislation, CDM and contractor management.
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British/Harmonised Standards and relevant UK legislation.
- Strong analytical, organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally as this is a mobile position.
