I am looking for an experienced Automatic Door, Roller Shutter & Gates & Barriers Engineer to join our growing team covering the London area. You'll carry out installation, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive repair work on automatic doors, with the flexibility to also support roller shutter, gate and barrier work across our client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair automatic doors (sliding, swing, revolving, folding) across commercial, retail, and industrial sites
- Carry out PPM and reactive call-outs on roller shutters, gates and barriers
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs to manufacturer and industry standards
- Complete accurate job sheets, service reports, and compliance documentation
- Liaise directly with site contacts, delivering a professional, customer-focused service
- Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Automatic Door Engineer; experience with roller shutters, gates and/or barriers is a strong advantage
- Full UK driving licence (essential, as a company van is provided)
- Strong fault-finding and electro-mechanical skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own daily schedule
- Good communication skills and a professional, client-facing manner
