Independent Accountancy Practice in Central London (Hybrid) is seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior. The salary ranges from £38,000 to £50,000 DOE.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nearly qualified or qualified accountant looking to step into a senior level role across audit and accounts within a close-knit and collaborative environment. The role offers a 40% audit and 60% accounts split alongside the opportunity to work with a varied portfolio acting as a direct point of contact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist on leading audits from planning through to completion
  • Prepare statutory accounts, bookkeeping, and tax compliance work for a varied client portfolio
  • Support junior staff on audits, providing mentoring and assisting in reviewing their work
  • Act as one of the key points of contact for clients
  • Represent the firm professionally across client engagements

Key Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified (ideally only advanced exams remaining)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within practice
  • Strong experience across both audit and accounts with experience in leading audits
  • Confident managing client relationships
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional and personable approach
  • Experience with IRIS software beneficial
