An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Planning and Highways Lawyer to join the Planning team of a Local Authority in South West on a full-time, 6-month initial contract basis.
The ideal candidate for this role would be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive. For this opportunity, you will need experience handling a caseload of both Planning and Highways agreements, with previous Local Authority experience being desired.
Duties may include the following:
- Handling a variety of Planning matters, including planning advice, planning enforcement, and Section 106 advice/negotiation/drafting
- Attending Planning Inquiries, including assisting on Section 106 obligations subject to appealed planning applications, and dealing with the obligation within the appeal timescales
- Handling Local Authority Highways matters such as Section 38 and Section 278 agreements
A rate of up to £60 per hour via Ltd company (Outside IR35) is offered for this position as well as the opportunity to work predominantly remote, with occasional attendance in person at Planning Inquiries.
