Senior Accountant

Location: Llandudno
Salary: £45,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you'll manage a varied client portfolio and provide accountancy, tax and business support services to a range of organisations and individuals.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing your own portfolio of clients and building strong working relationships.
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns for partnerships and sole traders.
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT and Making Tax Digital submissions.
  • Monitoring workflow, deadlines and client deliverables.
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with relevant regulations.
  • Providing practical advice and support to clients.
  • Dealing with client queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members, helping them develop both technically and professionally.
  • Working with a range of accounting software and cloud-based systems.
  • Assisting with other duties appropriate to the role.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with candidates who have

  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • At least three years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The confidence to provide professional advice and recommendations.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft 365.
  • A full UK driving licence.
