What will you be doing?
You'll take ownership of a portfolio of ambitious owner-managed businesses, acting as a trusted point of contact and delivering a high-quality, commercially focused service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients and building strong, trusted relationships
- Preparing and delivering meaningful management information
- Helping clients understand their financial performance and make informed business decisions
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Overseeing VAT returns and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
- Using Xero and other cloud-accounting tools to improve processes and provide useful insight
- Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members where appropriate
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy, professionalism and client service
What are we looking for?
This opportunity would suit a newly qualified or qualified accountant who has developed a strong technical foundation within an accountancy practice and is ready to take greater ownership of client relationships and advisory work. You will have:
- A newly qualified or qualified ACA or ACCA
- Relevant experience gained within an accountancy practice
- Strong experience preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Experience producing management information and explaining financial performance to clients
- Strong knowledge of Xero and cloud-accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and the confidence to take ownership of deadlines
