Clinical Negligence Solicitor (4+ PQE) in Liverpool

A highly respected and forward-thinking law firm with a strong presence in the North West is seeking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor/CILEX to join its growing specialist team.

Your new role

You will play a key role within a collaborative Clinical Negligence team, managing your own caseload of claimant matters while also supporting senior colleagues on complex, high-value and catastrophic injury claims.

This is an excellent opportunity to handle a varied and rewarding caseload while gaining exposure to high-profile litigation and developing your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a full caseload of claimant clinical negligence files from instruction through to conclusion
• Supporting senior team members on complex, multi-million-pound and catastrophic injury cases
• Drafting pleadings, correspondence and legal documentation to a high standard
• Conducting legal research and assisting with case strategy and preparation
• Liaising with clients, Counsel, courts, medical experts and third parties
• Attending client meetings, conferences and hearings where appropriate
• Managing key dates, limitation periods and case progression proactively
• Ensuring all files are maintained in line with regulatory and compliance standards (SRA, AML, Lexcel)
• Participating in file audits, risk management and quality assurance processes
• Contributing to a collaborative team culture, including mentoring and knowledge sharing
• What you'll need to succeed
• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with circa 4+ years' PQE in Clinical Negligence
• Proven experience managing a claimant clinical negligence caseload independently
• Experience assisting on complex or high-value clinical negligence matters
• Strong knowledge of litigation processes and regulatory requirements
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills with a client-focused and empathetic approach
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance
• Confident IT skills and experience using case management systems
• A genuine passion for clinical negligence work and achieving positive client outcomes
