The Role
As a Shift Engineer, you'll be responsible for keeping production equipment running reliably and safely.
You'll be working across both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a good balance of planned work, fault finding and improvement activity.
Your responsibilities will include
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Breakdown response and repair
- Supporting continuous improvement projects
- Working closely with production to maximise equipment reliability
- Maintaining high standards of safety and engineering practice
- Shift Pattern
You'll work a 3-week rotating shift pattern
- Week 1: 6am-2pm, Monday-Friday
- Week 2: 2pm-10pm, Monday-Thursday; 2pm-9pm Friday
- Week 3: 10pm-6am, Monday-Thursday
What We're Looking For
- Engineering apprenticeship with NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
- Electrical or mechanical engineering background
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food, packaging or a similar environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- PLC experience would be advantageous
- A proactive engineer who takes pride in doing things properly
