Reed Engineering is recruiting for an experienced Project & Small Works Manager on behalf of a successful and growing electrical contractor with an excellent reputation across the commercial, industrial and specialist sectors.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager looking for a varied role that combines project delivery, small works management and commercial responsibility within a supportive and forward-thinking business.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing electrical projects from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
You will also play a key role in pricing, quoting and managing small works and reactive maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical projects from planning through to successful handover.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors and project resources.
- Monitor progress, manage programmes and resolve any project issues.
- Manage project variations and additional works.
- Prepare quotations for small works, maintenance and reactive electrical projects.
- Assess labour, material and subcontractor requirements.
- Manage awarded small works projects through to completion.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Attend site and client meetings.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
- Oversee testing, commissioning and project handovers.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installations and building services.
- Experience delivering projects from inception to completion.
- Good commercial awareness and cost management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience pricing and managing small works projects.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
- SMSTS, ECS/CSCS, IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
- PRINCE2, APM or equivalent project management qualification.
