Following a sustained period of growth, the company is investing in new systems, processes, and improvements across its finance function.

As a result, an exciting opportunity has been created for an experienced and versatile finance professional to join the team and provide additional support during this period of positive change.

This role would suit a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a highly experienced QBE professional who is comfortable working independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-on preparation of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow reporting, journal postings, and overhead analysis.
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller to ensure all financial reporting is delivered accurately and on time.
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
  • Overseeing the monthly payroll process from start to finish, including providing technical payroll guidance when required.
  • Managing all payroll-related reporting and reconciliations, including pensions and Attachment of Earnings (AOE) deductions.
  • Responsibility for year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds.
  • Supporting short- to medium-term cash flow management.
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements, including PAYE and Class 1A/1B National Insurance obligations.
  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate cost allocation across individual revenue streams.

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or experienced QBE.
  • Strong all-round finance and payroll experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage and Excel.
  • Available to start at short notice or immediately.
