Duties and responsibilities
You will take responsibility for managing and delivering corporate tax work across a varied portfolio of clients.
Your duties are likely to include
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients across a range of sectors.
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team.
- Ensuring compliance work is completed accurately and in line with HMRC deadlines.
- Managing client information requests and monitoring progress against filing deadlines.
- Reviewing statutory accounts and identifying relevant tax adjustments.
- Advising clients on routine corporate tax queries.
- Identifying opportunities where clients may benefit from wider tax advice.
- Supporting clients with tax payments, enquiries and HMRC correspondence.
- Working closely with audit, accounts and wider advisory teams.
- Coaching and supporting junior colleagues.
- Assisting senior managers and partners with more complex assignments.
- Contributing to the continued development and growth of the corporate tax team.

Experience and qualifications

- The ability to manage multiple client deadlines and prioritise workloads.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Confidence communicating directly with clients and colleagues.
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members, particularly at Manager level.
- An interest in developing broader corporate tax advisory experience.
A professional qualification such as CTA, ACA or ACCA would be advantageous.
- The firm will also consider candidates who are qualified by experience or approaching qualification, provided they can demonstrate strong and relevant corporate tax experience.
