We're delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly respected insurance brokerage based in central Leeds. They are now looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join their close-knit team, providing support to Account Executives and a key portfolio of existing clients.

The Role:

  • You'll be supporting the servicing and retention of a portfolio of some of the firm's largest commercial clients, managing premiums ranging from £10,000 to over £200,000.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Developing long-term, trusted relationships with commercial clients by delivering a high standard of service, understanding their business needs, and acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day enquiries.
    • Managing the end-to-end renewal process, including reviewing cover, negotiating terms, presenting renewal options to clients, and proactively working to achieve high retention levels across the portfolio.
    • Preparing detailed and accurate reports, presentations, and documentation to support Account Executives and provide clients with clear, well-structured information to aid decision-making.
    • Working closely with insurers and underwriters to obtain competitive terms for new business, mid-term adjustments, and renewals, ensuring all risk information is accurately presented and negotiated effectively.
    • Using Acturis on a daily basis to create, amend, and manage policy documentation, maintain accurate client records, and ensure all system data is compliant and up to date.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Commercial Account Handler, now seeking a role offering greater autonomy and clear opportunities for progression.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities, with excellent communication skills across clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive and highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Confident working within a fast-paced, client-centric commercial environment.
  • Previous experience using Acturis is advantageous.
