Reed Insurance are working with a leading provider of tailored credit insurance solutions, specialising in helping businesses mitigate risks associated with non-payment and bad debts.

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our market presence in the credit insurance sector.

This role will focus on driving new business, managing key introducer relationships, and contributing to the growth of our company nationally.

Day-to-day of the role

  • Identify and target potential clients within relevant industries to generate new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive new sales and grow our customer base across a multitude of trade sectors.
  • Present and explain complex credit insurance products to prospects and clients in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Negotiate and close deals with new clients, ensuring profitable and long-term relationships.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with our insurance partners.
  • Cultivate relationships with prospective clients within mid-market and strategic segments.
  • Work closely with marketing to develop initiatives that enhance pipeline opportunities.
  • Understand prospects' needs in detail to provide bespoke solutions and service offerings that differentiate from the competition.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the credit insurance or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully generating new business, managing relationships, and meeting sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of credit insurance products and the financial risks businesses face.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and insurers at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand and analyse market trends and prospect needs.
