On behalf of our client, a growing and reputable accountancy practice, we are currently recruiting for a highly organised and detail-oriented Semi Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong experience in preparing final accounts and using a range of accounting software, who is looking to take the next step in their career.
The Role:
As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to a varied client portfolio, while also supporting junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of accounts for sole traders and limited companies
- Reconciliation of profit and loss accounts and balance sheets
- Completion of corporation tax returns
- Preparation of self-assessment tax returns
- Handling quarterly Making Tax Digital (MTD) income tax submissions
- Supporting and training junior staff
- Working with accounting software including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and IRIS
The Ideal Candidate:
- 2β3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
- AAT qualified
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident using a variety of accounting software
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
