We are seeking a dedicated Engineer to join a growing manufacturer in Knutsford.

This role is crucial for maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations within our manufacturing environment.

As an Engineer, you will work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver planned and preventative maintenance, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Day-to-day of the role

  • React immediately to breakdown situations, prioritising based on urgency and in consultation with production management.
  • Enhance plant and equipment through continuous improvement projects and designated formal projects.
  • Maintain the company's plant and equipment to ensure efficient operation, completing all necessary paperwork and maintenance records.
  • Uphold health and safety standards across all operations.
  • Engage in meetings, training sessions, and discussions as required.
  • Perform fault finding, conduct root cause analysis, and generate improvement ideas.
  • Maintain buildings, infrastructure, services, and supplies as needed.
  • Carry out all tasks requested by management diligently and professionally.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in maintaining plant and equipment, preferably in the Food Industry.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
  • In-depth knowledge of machinery maintenance.
  • Time-served apprenticeship or recognised qualifications in an engineering discipline.
  • For Electricians: Up-to-date and thorough knowledge of current I. E. E. Regulations.
  • Full Driver's License and own transport are essential.
