A respected regional law firm in the heart of Devon is expanding its Private Client department and is looking to appoint an experienced Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to head up a sub team from its South Hams office. The Opportunity:

You'll take ownership of a well-established caseload and sub team, delivering clear, practical advice to a loyal and growing client base. Typical matters will include:

  • Will drafting and estate planning
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Inheritance tax advice and lifetime planning
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
  • Court of Protection work
  • Trust creation and administration (advantageous but not essential)

Much of the work involves HNW clients across the South Hams, though previous experience with HNW estates isn't a requirement. This is a role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, consistent client contact and the support of a highly approachable team.

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
  • At least 2 years' PQE in Private Client work
  • Strong communication and client-care skills
  • Able to manage your own caseload confidently
  • STEP qualification (or interest in obtaining it) is a bonus
  • Candidates with supervision experience preferred, although not essential
