We're currently seeking an experienced MEP Facilities Technician to join a cutting-edge scientific and laboratory environment in Oxford.

This is a hands-on facilities role, ideal for someone who understands how building services and critical plant systems operate and can effectively manage maintenance priorities, contractors and site issues.

The Role

Working within a busy facilities team, you'll support the day-to-day operation of a modern technical site, ensuring key building services remain safe, compliant and operational.

You'll coordinate with specialist contractors, oversee maintenance activities and act as a knowledgeable point of contact for facilities-related issues.

Key systems include

  • Chilled water systems
  • HVAC and air handling units
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Generators and backup power systems
  • Lab gases and associated plant
  • Mechanical and electrical building services

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within facilities, building services, industrial maintenance or a technical/laboratory environment.
  • Strong understanding of M&E plant and building systems.
  • Ability to manage contractors and prioritise maintenance activities effectively.
  • Experience working with HVAC, chilled water, air handling units, generators or similar plant equipment.
  • 18th Edition qualification preferred.
  • A practical, common-sense approach with strong problem-solving skills.
