An experienced Property Claims Handler with Management experience is required to join a nationwide UK Property and Repair Practice working within the Insurance Claims Industry handling both Domestic and Commercial Property damage claims. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but very passionate team who pride themselves in providing a quality service. They have an exceptional reputation within the Property Repair Sector by valuing their long-standing client relationships as well as developing new.
Key responsibilities:
- Working closely with Directors, Surveyors, and the back-office team
- Overseeing the day-to-day workflow of Claims by allocating and delegating keeping the right balance to enable the office and the claims process to run smoothly
- Provide support to the Claims Handlers and Surveyors, helping with queries, enquiries and providing guidance as and when required
- Liaise with all relevant parties including contractors, Insurers/Brokers and policyholders
- Help and support the team during surge times, holidays etc managing your own claims, as and when required
- Recognise when help is required, team members wanting support or additional training is needed
- Manage any complaints and seek to resolve any issues as quickly as possible and seek a speedy resolution
About you:
- Have the ability to manage/oversee a team
- Experienced in handling your own caseload of Property claims and have an understanding of the Property Repair Claims cycle through to settlement
- Be comfortable liaising with contractors/Surveyors and point people in the right direction as required
- Experience of overseeing claims workloads with the ability to delegate and allocate proportionally
- Be able to recognise if team members require extra support as well as being happy to help out if needed to enable the claims process to run smoothly and effectively
- Exceptional communication skills, verbal, face to face and written
- Be comfortable working in an office environment Monday to Friday – either full-time or part-time
