Description

Reporting to the Head of Cost Business Partnering, you will act as a trusted finance partner to senior operational stakeholders, providing insight, challenge and support across a substantial cost base.

Key responsibilities include

  • Business partnering with operational leaders to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and planning activities for designated business areas.
  • Delivering insightful management reporting, KPI analysis and performance commentary.
  • Providing robust challenge and variance analysis to improve business performance.
  • Developing financial models, investment appraisals and business cases.
  • Supporting transformation programmes, efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Identifying risks, opportunities and operational performance improvements.
  • Translating complex financial information into clear, actionable commercial recommendations.
  • Building strong relationships across Finance and the wider business to influence decision-making and drive results.
  • Profile

The successful Finance Business Partner will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience operating within a large, complex organisation.

You will also demonstrate

  • Previous experience within Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance or FP&A.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and performance management expertise.
  • Experience supporting operational or cost-focused business functions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
  • A commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge and support senior leaders.
  • A naturally curious approach, looking beyond the numbers to understand business drivers and opportunities.
