We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CAD Technician for a Permanent role.

This role will be instrumental in producing, managing, and maintaining accurate technical drawings throughout the project lifecycle.

Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Teams, and Clients, you will play a vital role in translating project requirements into high-quality CAD drawings, ensuring compliance with both company standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed CAD drawings including layouts, schematics, and installation drawings in line with project specifications
  • Interpret design briefs, technical specifications, and survey data to create accurate drawings
  • Update and revise drawings throughout project stages to reflect design changes and client requirements
  • Maintain and manage drawing registers and documentation
  • Produce as-installed and as-built drawings upon project completion
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and clarity
  • Conduct quality checks and drawing reviews to ensure compliance with standards
  • Provide technical support to site teams and resolve drawing-related queries
  • Ensure drawings meet relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal procedures
  • Maintain accurate project records and document control systems
  • Attend project meetings to provide technical drawing input when required

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or M&E environments
  • Proficiency in Auto CAD or similar CAD software
  • Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and principles
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and design requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational and document control capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple revisions and deadlines effectively
  • Strong communication skills (technical and non-technical stakeholders)
  • Competent in Microsoft Office
