The Role

As a Development Executive, your primary focus will be generating new commercial insurance business across SME and mid-market clients. You'll develop relationships with prospective clients, identify opportunities for growth, and work closely with Account Executives to convert leads into long-term clients. With access to leading insurers, competitive products, and a supportive team, you can focus on what you do best - opening doors and closing deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new commercial insurance business through networking, referrals, and self-generated leads
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across SME and mid-market clients
  • Present tailored insurance solutions to prospective clients
  • Work closely with Account Executives and internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, insurers, and introducers
  • Meet and exceed new business and income targets

About You

  • Proven experience in a Development Executive or New Business role within commercial insurance
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and the UK market
  • Confident, proactive, and target-driven
  • Natural relationship-builder with excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • ACII qualified or working towards (beneficial, not essential)
  • Comfortable working independently, whether in the office or remotely
