We are partnering with a listed business to appoint an experienced Interim Director of FP&A for an initial six-month assignment.

This is a high-profile leadership role, requiring an individual who can quickly establish credibility with the Executive Leadership Team, provide clear commercial insight, and drive best-in-class FP&A processes within a fast-paced environment.

Leading an established FP&A team, you will take ownership of the planning, reporting and performance management agenda, ensuring the business has timely, insightful information to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the FP&A function, providing direction and leadership to the team.
  • Own the reporting cadence, ensuring consistent, high-quality performance reporting.
  • Deliver monthly actuals, forecasting and financial performance reporting.
  • Support the strategic planning process.
  • Oversee monthly cost centre reporting and performance analysis.
  • Support quarterly earnings calls and provide high-quality information to Investor Relations.
  • Review and enhance financial analysis to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Leadership Team, presenting financial performance, insights and commentary.
  • Take ownership of executive reporting, continually improving monthly board and leadership packs with meaningful, commercially focused commentary.

The Candidate

You are an experienced FP&A leader who understands what best-in-class looks like and has the credibility to operate at Executive level from day one.

  • Proven experience leading FP&A within a listed business (essential).
  • A track record of delivering high-quality reporting, forecasting and strategic planning.
  • The ability to work at pace with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • The confidence to challenge constructively while building strong relationships.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement meaningful change.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear commercial insight for senior stakeholders.
