The opportunity We are recruiting a Site Engineer for a well-established food manufacturer on the Wiltshire, Berkshire and Hampshire border, just south of Hungerford.
This is a hands-on night shift role keeping the whole site running, covering planned and preventative maintenance as well as getting stuck into breakdowns as they happen, across all machinery and equipment on site.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer and Production Manager, you will be part of a small, close-knit engineering team where you will see the difference you make.

- Plus 25% night shift bonus
- 37.5 hour week
- Night shift, 10pm to 6am
- What you will be doing
- Attending mechanical breakdowns and assisting with machinery adjustments
- Diagnosing and repairing faults
- Maintaining machinery maintenance programmes and records
- Helping to maintain an inventory of spare parts
- Keeping the workshop clean and tidy, and controlling tools on site
- Maintaining and improving the building fabric
- Providing holiday and sickness cover
- Deputising for the Chief Engineer and assisting with clerical matters as needed
- Completing all documentation relevant to the position
- Liaising with Managers to help implement and enforce company policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with relevant UK law
- Other duties as required
