The Opportunity
Are you a seasoned Finance Director looking for an interim project to begin September 2026?
You'll be joining a £45m turnover group, reporting to the UK MD (with a dotted line into the Group CFO based overseas).
You are joining a successful, growing and professional business with an excellent leadership team. The business is in great financial shape and is delivering impressive growth.
The role is number 1 in finance for the highly independent and autonomous UK business.
You'll be the primary finance contact and a vital member of the UK leadership team.
The initial assignment is 4-6 months in duration (there is possibility of the role becoming permanent).
Full remit – producing a detailed and insightful board pack, ensuring integrity of the P&L and balance sheet, managing cash and providing accurate forecasting, business partnering heads across the business, enhancing existing controls and reporting, drilling into costs, margin and profit streams to ensure decisions are evidence-based, involvement in M&A and successful integration of bolt on businesses...
It's a fully fledged and rounded FD role with plenty of opportunity to make a swift impact.
Required
- A confident, versatile and hands on FD able to start ASAP.
- An individual with previous experience of managing a growth business through change (including mergers / acquisitions).
- Ability to manage key stakeholder relationships (MD and board directors, banks, parent group CFO etc).
- Excellent communication skills and clear evidence of ability to business partner across operational and commercial areas of the business.
- A highly diligent approach to delivering credible numbers that can be used to influence senior level decisions.
- A naturally proactive approach to making continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and ambitious business at the circa £50m t/o level.
