We are working with a well-established legal practice that is looking to expand its Conveyancing team in Huddersfield.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Conveyancing secretary to join a busy, supportive environment and further develop their career in conveyancing.

The Role

You will be assisting the conveyancer to deal with all manner of conveyancing work to include purchases, sales, transfer of equity, remortgages and more.

  • To be considered for the role, you'll require the following essentials:
  • Current or recent experience working as a legal secretary ideally within conveyancing
  • Proven experience of audio typing/copy typing
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications and case management systems
  • Confident & professional telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Strong organisational skills with fantastic attention to detail

Within this position, you'll also be

  • Dealing with a range of clients in a professional manner
  • Taking initial enquiries
  • Liaising with estate agents, lenders and any other third parties as required
  • Drafting legal documents & correspondence
  • Digital dictation
  • Supporting across a wide range of conveyancing matters
  • Supporting with Land Registry Portal Submissions
  • Carrying out property searches
  • Carrying out a wide range of administrative duties including filing & photocopying, diary management
  • Updating of databases and case management software
  • Assisting other members of the department as required
  • Salary & Working Hours
  • Salary is up £24,000-- £26,000 dependant on experience
