About the Role
As a Press and Small Fabrications Operator, you'll be responsible for producing a range of sheet metal and fabricated components using presses and associated fabrication equipment.
You'll ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the high-quality standards expected within a precision manufacturing environment.
Working from engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions, you'll carry out a variety of fabrication operations while maintaining excellent attention to detail and ensuring compliance with company quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of press and small fabrication equipment to manufacture precision components.
- Set up and safely operate machinery in accordance with work instructions and company procedures.
- Perform fabrication processes including pressing, forming, bending, punching, drilling, deburring and assembly.
- Manufacture components to engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspections to ensure components meet quality standards.
- Use measuring equipment and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Identify and report any quality concerns or non-conforming products.
- Ensure machinery, tooling and work areas are maintained in a safe and clean condition.
- Complete production documentation accurately and maintain full traceability where required.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to meet production schedules and quality targets.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality and efficiency.
About You

- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Experience using hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
