HB Partners Limited is recruiting AAT, ACCA, ACA or ATT qualified Practice Accountants on behalf of a well established and growing accountancy practice based near Portsmouth to join its expanding team. The practice provides accounting and tax services to a broad portfolio of small business clients, and is looking for technically strong, client-focused professionals to support its continued growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing, submitting and reviewing accounts and tax returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies, including VAT and CIS where required
- Providing training, mentorship and technical guidance to the accounting team, reviewing their work and supporting technical development
- Advising clients on tax efficiency, cashflow, budgeting and pricing
- Leading year-end client meetings and conducting client fee reviews
- Acting as the primary point of liaison between clients and HMRC
- Managing a portfolio of clients
Candidate requirements:
- Full membership of a chartered professional body (AAT, ATT, ACCA or equivalent)
- A minimum of five years' experience in practice, managing a broad client base
- Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT and FreeAgent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly
