Senior Accountant
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of clients including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, limited companies, and LLPs.
This role is ideal for a qualified accountant who is adept at building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality accounting services.
Day-to-day of the role
- Manage and oversee statutory accounts and corporation tax returns preparation and review.
- Prepare and review personal tax returns for business owners and directors.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, fostering strong, lasting relationships.
- Support Partners and Managers in the delivery of client work and advisory projects.
- Review work prepared by Semi-Seniors and Apprentices, ensuring technical accuracy.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members within the team.
- Efficiently handle communications with HMRC and respond to client queries.
- Assist with VAT compliance and collaborate with specialist teams like Payroll, Company Secretarial, and Audit as needed.
- Ensure all assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA qualification or strong QBE (Qualified by Experience).
- Proven experience within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong capability in managing client relationships with minimal supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of accounts and taxation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a reliable team member.
- History of stable employment and a commitment to long-term career development.
