This well-established organisation based near Haslemere are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team. This role is being offered on a permanent basis, and my client will look at full time or slightly reduced hours options. This role would suit someone who has previous experience in day-to-day management of the finance function in a busy environment and ideally someone who is AAT qualified, or working towards a professional accountancy qualification.

Finance Manager – About The Role

  • Oversee the efficient operation of the Finance Department, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with accountants on the preparation and filing of annual company accounts, while maintaining records in accordance with data protection laws.
  • Manage the Xero accounting system, ensuring it meets the evolving needs and maintaining accurate financial records, including month-end and year-end reconciliations.
  • Produce regular financial reports for senior leadership, and conduct financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Support with the preparation of the yearly budget and monitor throughout the year.
  • Administer the banking, credit cards, and payment systems, ensuring monthly reconciliations and effective cash flow management.
  • Oversee procurement processes, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and manage spending to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Overseeing 1 member of staff and supporting with any issues.
  • Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.

The successful Finance Manager will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • QBE/Qualified candidates will be considered
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good attention to detail
