We are seeking an experienced and progressive Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) / Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You will be expected to work 38.5 hours a week, working days and night shifts. The working pattern is 7.30am to 8pm for a day shift and 7:30pm to 8am for a night shift.

Cygnet Lodge Kenton, in North-West London, is a female high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service that provides a care pathway for service users who are preparing to step down and help bridge the gap between hospital stays and community living.

Our service provides a high level of support and uses a recovery focused model.

The service provides treatment for up to 15 women experiencing complex mental illness.

The service helps them to re-establish and develop the skills they need to progress over a period of 12-18 months.

We accept referrals from low secure services, acute wards, PICU and other mental health rehabilitation services.

Your day-to-day....

  • Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments & observations
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, & improve quality
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives & other healthcare professionals
  • Administer medicines within healthcare procedure & Healthcare Commission guidelines

An experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number, you'll have..

Essential

  • The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits and demonstrate integrity in your role
  • A good understanding of the latest nursing practices
  • Commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage and reduce risk
  • Compassion, resilience, with a dedication to empower and support service user independence
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a Mental Health setting

Desirable

  • The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role
  • An interest in leadership, research & assessment
  • Experience of working with Personality Disorder patients in a PD service.
