An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Management Accountant/Financial Accountant to join a successful and commercially focused business in Harrogate in what will be a very varied and interesting opportunity.
Reporting into the divisional Financial Controller you will be combining Commercial Finance and regular FP&A responsibilities, offering an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to take that next step in their career.
Working closely with the wider finance and commercial teams, your responsibilities will include:
- Playing a key role in analysing the financial performance of the company's generating assets.
- Performing detailed Gross Margin actuals analysis, understanding the key drivers of performance and providing insightful analysis to support commercial decision making.
- Producing forward-looking margin forecasts, helping the business to understand future performance and identify key opportunities and risks.
- Working with large volumes of complex data, requiring a highly analytical approach and the ability to interpret detailed financial information effectively.
- Alongside the commercial responsibilities, you will undertake a range of regular FP&A activities.
- Provide financial insight, supporting the ongoing planning, forecasting and reporting requirements of the business.
Ideally you will be an ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant with strong academic credentials and a highly analytical approach.
This role would particularly suit someone making their first move from practice into industry, although this is not an essential requirement.
