Your new role:
You will be joining a well-known industry-leading manufacturing business working with a range of companies within the industrial retail sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing professional with strong leadership skills and a solid background in sheet metal fabrication.

Reporting to the Night Shift Production Manager, you will take responsibility for leading the Metal Shop and Powder Coating operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise and support Metal Shop and Powder Coating teams on the night shift.
  • Lead, motivate, develop and coach operators to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Ensure production schedules and targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
  • Provide technical support across key manufacturing processes.
  • Set up and troubleshoot Fibre Laser and Press Brake machinery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Support operational performance across the wider night shift manufacturing functions.

Experience & Skills needed

  • Proven supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Hands-on experience setting and operating Fibre Laser & Press Brake machinery.
  • Good understanding of welding and powder coating operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Commitment to maintaining exceptional standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
  • The ability to balance people management with hands-on technical involvement.
