Senior FPGA Engineer
Location: Majority Remote (Approx. 1 Week Per Month Onsite in Hampshire)

We're recruiting for an experienced FPGA Engineer to join an innovative engineering team developing advanced FPGA and So C solutions for high-performance, mission-critical applications.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while enjoying a flexible working arrangement, with the majority of your time spent working remotely and approximately one week per month onsite in Hampshire.
The Role
You'll be involved in the full FPGA development lifecycle, working alongside systems, electronics and software engineers to design, develop and verify high-performance FPGA solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop FPGA and So C-based solutions
- Develop VHDL and/or Verilog code
- Integrate FPGA modules and reusable IP
- Perform simulation, verification and hardware testing
- Support timing analysis and FPGA optimisation
- Produce technical documentation and verification plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Skills & Experience
To be considered, you'll ideally have
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- 5+ years' FPGA design experience
- Strong VHDL and/or Verilog development skills
- Experience with Vivado, Quartus and Model Sim/Questa Sim
- Knowledge of FPGA development from design through to verification
- Experience with Xilinx Zynq or similar So C platforms
- Understanding of timing closure and high-speed digital design
Desirable
- Python or Tcl scripting
- MATLAB
- High-Level Synthesis (HLS)
- Video interfaces (MIPI, SDI)
- C++
- Functional Safety (IEC 61508 / ISO 26262)
- Defence, aerospace or other safety-critical industries
- Current SC or DV Clearance
