We are seeking a Senior Associate with over 6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join a Legal 500 Corporate team in Guildford.
This role offers a significant opportunity for career development, high visibility within and outside the firm, and a pivotal role in business development with full partner support.
Day-to-day of the role
- Work closely with the team on a full range of corporate transactions, including M&A, spin-out, and venture capital transactions.
- Draft transaction documents and legal advice tailored to client needs.
- Manage transactions effectively, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with legal standards.
- Engage actively with clients and third parties to facilitate the successful delivery of transactions.
- Participate in and potentially lead the team's business development activities, enhancing the firm's market presence and client base.
- Operate under the firm's hybrid agile working policy, allowing flexibility to work from home or another UK location for up to 50% of the time.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Must be SRA Qualified with a minimum of 6 years PQE.
- Proven background as an Associate or Senior Associate in private practice.
- Strong experience in supervising juniors and managing transactions from inception to completion.
- Previous business development experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent legal drafting and transaction management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong client relationships and managing stakeholder expectations.
