We are seeking a Paralegal to join our Residential Property team, providing direct support to fee earners to enhance operational efficiency and client service.
Day-to-Day of the Role
- Provide general support to the Residential Property team, including preparing correspondence and legal documents.
- Manage client files effectively, adhering to internal procedures for opening, closing, storage, retrieval, and filing.
- Handle administrative tasks such as arranging document copying, managing diaries, and setting up meetings.
- Welcome and assist clients and agents both in person and by telephone, providing updates and assisting in progressing transactions.
- Prepare completion statements and handle pre-completion and post-exchange formalities.
- Complete online forms, including SDLT submissions, and prepare and submit Land Registry applications.
- Obtain information from local authorities and handle registration requirements and post-completion matters.
- Support departmental marketing initiatives and maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and organisational information.
- Utilise the firm's case management system effectively and maintain high standards of document production.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Law graduate or working towards qualification through a recognised Paralegal route, supported by relevant legal experience.
- Experience in residential property is highly desirable.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in case management systems.
- Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to workload management.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
