A privately held international investment organisation is seeking a recently qualified accountant to join its finance team in a broad and commercially focused role. The business has a diverse portfolio of investments and operates across multiple entities and jurisdictions, requiring a highly organised and detail-oriented individual who can support strong financial governance, statutory compliance and financial control activities.

Reporting into senior finance leadership, the successful candidate will take responsibility for a range of financial accounting, statutory reporting and compliance activities across a group structure comprising multiple legal entities. The role will involve managing the statutory reporting timetable and ensuring all filing requirements are completed accurately and on time. You will prepare audit files for multiple legal entities and work closely with external accounting service providers to ensure the efficient delivery of finance-related activities.

The position will also support a broad range of taxation and compliance responsibilities including VAT, corporation tax, capital gains tax and other relevant obligations. Alongside reporting activities, the role will be responsible for maintaining strong financial controls across the organisation. This will include performing bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly reviews of intercompany positions, loans, debt balances and shareholder equity movements. You will also support the effective operation of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processes, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately, supported by appropriate audit trails and compliant with accounting standards and best practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant looking to develop their experience within a dynamic investment environment. Applicants will be recently ACA or ACCA qualified and ideally degree educated. A highly reliable and discreet individual with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, you will be naturally organised, able to manage competing priorities and comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and integrity. This opportunity would suit someone looking to broaden their experience in a varied finance role within a growing and entrepreneurial investment environment.
