This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional with experience in household or personal lines insurance who is looking to build a long-term career within Private Client insurance.

Joining a friendly and supportive team of around 20 people, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients, receive ongoing training and enjoy genuine opportunities to progress your insurance career.

The opportunity

As a Private Client Account Handler, you'll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of approximately 40 renewals per month, delivering exceptional service throughout the insurance lifecycle while building trusted relationships with your clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of Private Client insurance policies from renewal through to ongoing servicing.
  • Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments and policy amendments.
  • Prepare quotations for new and existing clients.
  • Review clients' insurance requirements and recommend suitable cover.
  • Liaise with insurers to obtain competitive terms.
  • Produce accurate policy documentation.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients through excellent customer service.
  • Handle enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Identify opportunities to improve clients' insurance protection.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure FCA compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business.

About you

We're looking for someone with

  • At least 2 years' insurance experience.
  • Experience within personal lines or household insurance.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
  • Experience using Acturis would be advantageous but is not essential.

Bonus experience

  • Dedicated authority experience would be beneficial.

This is a five-day working week, with three days in the office. Current office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, although these may change in the future.

During induction, training is delivered through a combination of office-based support and Microsoft Teams, as the office is closed on Mondays and Fridays.
