A commercially focused Finance Director opportunity within one of the UK's most recognised customer-facing organisations.

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Director to join the senior leadership team of a nationally recognised organisation operating a portfolio of prestigious venues.

This is a high-impact commercial leadership role where you'll influence strategic decisions, drive financial performance and support significant investment across a complex, multi-site business.

Joining during a period of transformation, you'll play a key role in building a more commercially focused finance function that partners closely with operational leaders to improve performance, challenge thinking and support future growth.

The Role

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you'll provide commercial insight, strategic challenge and financial leadership across a portfolio of high-profile operations.

Responsibilities include

  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
  • Providing commercial insight and constructive challenge to senior operational leaders.
  • Partnering with commercial teams to improve trading performance across multiple revenue streams.
  • Building robust business cases to support significant capital investment.
  • Delivering insightful financial reporting, forecasting and KPI analysis.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing finance team through a period of organisational change.
  • Driving continuous improvement across finance processes, governance and business partnering.
  • Supporting strategic decision making as a trusted adviser to the leadership team.

About You

We're looking for a commercially minded Finance Director who enjoys operating close to the business and influencing results.

You'll ideally have

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Experience operating as a Finance Director, Divisional Finance Director or senior commercial finance leader.
  • A background within retail, hospitality, leisure, consumer, venues, travel or another customer-facing multi-site environment.
  • Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience within a trading business.
  • The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders constructively and influence strategic decisions.
  • Experience leading finance teams through change and transformation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build credibility quickly across a diverse stakeholder group.
  • An interest in customer experience, hospitality, live events or destination businesses would be advantageous.
