Work just Friday–Sunday and enjoy 4 days off every week! Pertemps are recruiting for multiple temporary positions at Edwards Vacuum in Clevedon, offering a condensed 34.5-hour working week with rates from £29.90 to £47.32 per hour.

Location: Clevedon, North Somerset, BS21

Transport: Own transport required

Shift: Friday–Sunday: 12:30–00:30

Holiday: Accrued and paid at the end of the contract

Contract: ASAP–20th December

About Edwards Vacuum: Edwards Vacuum is a global leader in vacuum and abatement technology, supplying specialist systems used by major industries including semiconductor manufacturing. The Clevedon site is a key engineering and manufacturing facility, producing advanced vacuum and exhaust management systems, with a strong focus on engineering, innovation, safety and continuous improvement.

Due to an increase in workload and production demand, Edwards Vacuum is introducing a condensed shift pattern, creating additional opportunities for skilled and experienced candidates to join the team on a temporary contract basis.

Current Positions Available:

  • Warehouse Operatives - £29.90/hr
    Experience in picking, kitting, goods-in/goods-out, SAP and stock management is essential.
  • Mechanical Assembly Operatives - £32.24/hr
    Mechanical assembly, pipework, components, hand tools and basic engineering drawings.
  • Electrical Assembly Operatives - £32.00/hr
    Experience in wiring, crimping, soldering, wiring looms and electrical/mechanical assembly is essential.
  • Skilled Mechanical Operatives - £35.73/hr
    Experience in mechanical fitting, cabinets, pump frames, P&IDs, testing and fault finding is essential.
  • Skilled Electrical Operatives - £39.02/hr
    Experience in panel wiring, electrical interconnections, cable termination, crimping and schematics is essential.
  • Test Engineers - £43.00–£47.32/hr
    Experience in testing, fault finding, technical drawings, test equipment and vacuum systems is desired. Pay rate dependent on experience.

Please note: Candidates will be required to work Friday–Sunday each week for the duration of the contract, and accrued holiday is paid out at the end of the contract. For skilled and engineering positions, relevant hands-on experience is essential. We are particularly interested in candidates from backgrounds such as Mechanical Fitter, Electrical Technician, Wireman, Vehicle Mechanic, Fabricator, CNC Operator, Maintenance Technician, Production Operative, Warehouse Operative or Test Engineer, as well as candidates with similar practical engineering experience.
