Our client is seeking motivated and ambitious Trainee Accountant to join a professional accounting team based in Glasgow City Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop their career in accounting while gaining valuable practical experience within a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing invoices, payments and expenses
- Supporting the preparation of accounts and financial reports
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Assisting with VAT returns and payroll administration
- Using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Supporting senior accountants with general finance duties
Requirements
- A degree or relevant qualification in accounting, finance, business or a related subject is preferred
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Previous accounting experience is beneficial but not essential
