Backed by the strength of a larger international group while operating with the agility of an SME, the business has ambitious growth plans and is looking for a commercially driven General Manager to lead the next phase of its development.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and commercial performance of the business, driving sustainable growth while leading a small, dedicated team.
Key responsibilities include
- Developing and delivering the commercial growth strategy
- Driving sales, profitability and market share
- Managing key customer relationships and national accounts
- Identifying new business opportunities and routes to market
- Leading product development and range expansion
- Developing pricing strategies and improving margins
- Managing budgets, forecasts and P&L performance
- Working closely with group functions including Purchasing, Finance and Operations
- Leading, motivating and developing the team
About You
You'll be a commercially driven leader with experience growing businesses, leading high-performing teams and delivering profitable results.
You'll likely be working as a General Manager, Commercial Director, Sales Director, Business Unit Director or in a similar senior leadership role.
Experience within manufacturing, trade distribution, plumbing, heating, building products, tools or industrial sectors would be advantageous, alongside strong commercial acumen and P&L responsibility.
Most importantly, you'll be ambitious, hands-on and excited by the opportunity to lead a successful business with a genuine pathway to Managing Director.
