The
Role:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our client and take ownership of the day-to-day finance function.
Working closely with the Directors and senior management team, this is a key appointment that will support the company's continued growth while ensuring robust financial controls, reporting and commercial insight across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management β Oversee the finance function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial information.
- Management Accounts β Produce timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Cash Flow & Forecasting β Manage cash flow, budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Team Leadership β Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring efficient processes and high performance.
- Construction Finance β Monitor project profitability, contract performance and work-in-progress reporting.
- Compliance & Controls β Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax obligations and internal financial controls.
- Business Partnering β Work closely with operational teams and Directors to provide commercial and financial insight.
Desirable Skills
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience within construction, contracting or a project-based environment.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Knowledge of CIS, contract accounting and work-in-progress reporting.
- Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
