Reporting To: Engineering Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Folkestone, Kent

Hours: Monday -Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-4 shift 42 hours a week with a 30-minute lunch break

Join our team as a Multi-Skilled Engineer and play a crucial role in driving the performance and efficiency of our engineering operations!

Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will

  • Drive site performance (OEE) and support new project initiatives.
  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of all production and plant equipment, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Execute maintenance procedures and prioritise tasks according to plant needs and production schedules.
  • Conduct regular checks and tests on all plant machinery to maintain operational specifications.
  • Uphold Health and Safety and Quality procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Comply with Corporate, Health and Safety, and Environmental standards, including the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
  • Assist in training others in key skills and develop training plans in collaboration with management.
  • Communicate effectively with engineering teams, sharing updates and insights on equipment performance.

What You Bring to the Table:
We are looking for candidates with

  • Extensive experience with processing and packaging machinery.
  • Mechanical and electrical qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent)
  • A knack for troubleshooting and resolving PLC and robotic issues.
  • Proven experience in reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
  • A working knowledge of Continuous Improvement and SMED projects.
  • Basic Lean Six Sigma qualifications (yellow or green belt) are ideal.
