We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established automotive business.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified Technician who enjoys working on a varied range of vehicles and is looking for a Monday-to-Friday position with a competitive salary of up to £48,948 per annum.
The majority of your work will be on HGVs, although you'll also have the opportunity to work on lighter vehicles.
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics, working both independently and as part of an experienced team.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Working predominantly on HGVs alongside a variety of other vehicles
- Completing routine maintenance checks
- Diagnosing and resolving vehicle faults
- Using relevant diagnostic equipment
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Working in line with manufacturer and internal requirements
- Providing a professional and friendly service when dealing with customers
- Working both independently and as part of the wider workshop team
About You
We're looking for someone who
- Holds a City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
- Has a minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified Vehicle Technician
- Has previous experience working on HGVs
- Has strong mechanical and technical knowledge
- Is confident with vehicle diagnostics
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Can manage their own workload effectively
- Is comfortable working independently and within a team
- Has a positive, can-do attitude
- Has a genuine interest in the automotive industry
Experience or a strong interest in electric and hybrid vehicles would be advantageous, particularly for someone interested in developing their skills in this area.
A Class 1 or Class 2 licence would also be beneficial but is not essential
